Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor has attended the ceremony held last night to celebrate 43 years of diplomatic relations between Maldives and China.
The ceremony was held in Olympus last night.
The ceremony was also attended by Chinese Ambassador to Maldives، Mr. Wang Fukang، other diplomats and officials of Chinese Embassy and other government officials as well.
During this ceremony، China’s Jin Ang art troop performed traditional dances.
Maldives and China share very close relations. While the President of China، Xi Jinping has visited Maldives once، Vice President of Maldives، Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor has visited China on two separate occasions.
China is lending great help for many development projects of Maldives. This includes the “China-Maldives Friendship Bridge” joining Malé and Hulhulé، Hadhunmathi link road constriction work and also electricity work in Greater Malé Area.
