His Excellency Adel Ibrahim, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Maldives, paid a farewell call on His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu this morning at the President's Office.
During the call, the President commended the Ambassador for his role in strengthening bilateral relations throughout his tenure. He also extended his gratitude to the government and people of Egypt for their longstanding friendship, particularly the scholarships offered to Maldivian students and the service of Egyptian medical professionals in the Maldives.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to close collaboration with Egypt, and expressed optimism that cooperation in culture, tourism, education, security, and defence would continue to grow.
The call concluded with both sides underscoring their shared desire to further strengthen the longstanding friendship between the Maldives and Egypt.
