High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana presents credentials to the President

High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to the Maldives, His Excellency Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, presented his Letter of Credence to His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at a ceremony held this morning at the President's Office.
The High Commissioner was escorted in a traditional 'Haiykolhu' cultural procession, accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.
The President accepted the Letter of Credence and formally welcomed His Excellency Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana.
Following the ceremony, the President and the High Commissioner discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, tourism, and other technical sectors. Both sides expressed their dedication to collaborating for the benefit of both nations and to enhancing their partnership across regional and global platforms.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Ghana were established on 10 August 1989.
