Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon has said that the Government of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is committed in expanding the partnership between China and Maldives to new levels.
Foreign Minister made the remarks in her message to the Chinese Foreign Minister Mr. Wang Yi، on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Bilateral Relations between the Maldives and China.
On her message، Foreign Minister extended congratulations and well wishes to the Government and the friendly people of China، on the occasion.
She noted that unwavering commitment of Maldives to the One China policy، and our shared perspectives in addressing international issues of mutual interests have helped the bilateral relationship to thrive for the benefit of the peoples of our two countries.
Furthermore، Minister Dunya noted that China is now one of the most important development and trade partners of the Maldives.
“I am confident that the close ties of friendship and cooperation between our two countries will continue to prosper in the years to come.”
