Former President of Maldives Mohamed Nasheed has praised the Police officers working in Addu City.
President Nasheed who is currently at Addu City tweeted on Monday saying that even with some senior leaders are opposing، the police officers in Addu City are assertive on their jobs.
“Even though some senior leaders keep opposing their duties، Addu City Police officers are assertive on their duties. I thank them for it.” Nasheed mentioned in his tweet.
While Nasheed has tweeted in favor of the Police، the Police in Addu City are currently investigating the case of vandals stoning the residence of Mohamed Nasheed in Addu City. “Air Round” House، which Nasheed is staying at، was vandalized on Sunday late night around 01:50.
The vandals hit the house while the Police were on duty in the area. No suspects have yet been arrested for the case.
An unrest was created during the MDP special gathering in Addu City last Friday night. The sixteen suspects arrested due to the case were all released.
