Economic Minister Saeed calls to invest in sustainable development in Maldives

Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed has stated that for a naturally vulnerable nation like the Maldives, sustainable development comes through modern thought, technology and funds, and called on the international community to invest in the Maldives without delay.
Speaking at the ongoing World Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia yesterday, Saeed highlighted the importance of technology and investment for the development of Maldives.

After the meeting, Saeed told Mihaaru that the foreign investment agenda introduced by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is getting significant positive response from various international entities.
He also noted that the overwhelming support the government received in the recent parliamentary elections has further strengthened investor confidence.
In addition to Saeed, Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer is also attending the forum in Riyad.
More than 700 leaders from around the world are participating in the forum, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has previously said.
Besides these two ministers, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and Minister of Finance Dr Mohamed Shafeeq are also currently in Saudi Arabia for other official reasons.
