The motion, submitted on 14 May, is being handled under the Constitution and parliamentary rules. The Parliament’s General Committee has set the rules for the debate such that one hour will be allocated for the debate, with speaking time distributed among poltiivcal parties. Each parliamentarian will be granted three minutes to speak once, while the Deputy Speaker will be given 10 minutes to defend himself.
As per Parliament rules, once the motion is introduced, no other business can be discussed until a decision is reached. The Speaker will preside over the session. Although the Deputy Speaker can speak in his own defence, he cannot participate in the vote.
The Deputy Speaker will only be removed if the motion is passed by a majority of members present and voting.
