The Islamic Library established at the HA. Dhidhdhoo Islamic Centre was opened today.
The library was inaugurated by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
Speaking at the ceremony held for this purpose in Dhidhdhoo, the Minister requested the students of Dhidhdhoo to find time and spend time at the library at least once a week to gain knowledge. He also requested parents to pay attention to this matter.
The Minister stated that although the library is primarily based on books of Islamic knowledge, it is important that it also contains books providing information from other fields.
The Minister also spoke, highlighting the role of books in spreading knowledge in Islam.
The Islamic Centre, which houses this library, was opened today. In addition to the library, the centre includes a mosque, a branch of the Holy Quran Centre, a multi-purpose hall, five classrooms, a seminar room, an office building, and a cafeteria. This Islamic Centre has a capacity for 1,500 people.
