STO have said that they will start investing in the tourism industry once their four main areas of business expand.
Speaking to Miadhu News, the Managing Director of STO, Ahmed Shaheer said that the shareholders of STO wants their main areas of business, medicine, construction, fuel and staple food to expand.
He said that, they do not want to enter the tourism industry before establishing infrastructure and logistic support for the current areas of business. Shaheer said that even the policy of the government is that government companies doing business in areas where they are specialized in and hence government companies operate in this regard.
