Foundation stone laid for Gan Masjid Complex

The foundation stone for the Gan Masjid Complex at Gan International Airport has been laid.
According to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the project is being funded through a donation from the Order of Distinguished Rule of Muleege Mohamed Solih, the Chairman of Damas Company Pvt.
The foundation stone was laid by Islamic Affairs Minister Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed alongside Mohamed Solih.
The mosque complex will be a two-storey building with a capacity for 800 worshippers. The complex will also include a multi-purpose hall and a library.
The ceremony was attended by officials from the Islamic Ministry, members of the Addu City Council, Mohamed Solih, and his family.
Mohamed Solih has previously financed the construction of a mosque in Hulhudhoo, Addu City, on land owned by him.
