Former President and the current President of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)، Mohamed Nasheed had alleged the missing news reporter from Minivan News، Rizwan Abdulla was ‘kidnapped by a young kid’.
During a special gathering of MDP in Alimas Carnival on Monday night، Former President Nasheed said it is a serious crime that ‘the young kid’ kidnapped Rizwan، and it is much bigger crime that someone made him do it.
“It is strongly believed that Rizwan was kidnapped by a young kid. What he did was a crime.  However it’s a bigger offense that some people made him do it.” Nasheed said.
Nasheed alleged that ‘masterminds’ behind the kidnapping are a group with extreme religious mentality، who had persuaded a ‘young kid’ to kidnap Rizwan، whose life in Male’ is not a concern of the youth at all.

Nasheed said he calls for all politicians not to sway young kids from the right path for their own political agenda.
He reportedly directed his alleges to two people – Islamic Minister Dr. Shaheem Ali and Adhaalath Party President Sheikh Imran Abdulla.
Rizwan Abdulla has been missing for over a month and Police have not released many statements regarding the matter. Police are searching for him، who has been missing since August 7.
