Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer has met today with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
At the meeting, Minister Zameer emphasized the strengthening relations between Qatar and Maldives. He extended gratitude to Qatar for the support extended towards socio-economic development in the Maldives.
Deliberations were also held on ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Zameer specifically voiced appreciation for the role Qatar plays in the mediation process related to the Gaza crisis, and to work collaboratively at international forums regarding matters of global concern.

Secretary, Bilateral, Dr Hala Hameed, Ambassador at Large and Maldives Ambassador to China Dr Fazeel Najeeb and Foreign Ministry's Assistant Director Lamha Saleem are accompanying the Minister on this trip.
