Abdulla Adam, 32, who went missing after going diving for sea cucumbers near Vandhoo island of Raa atoll, has been found.
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF)'s Norther Area Coast Guard Squadron launched a search for him on Wednesday morning.
While Adam had gone diving for sea cucumbers at around 8:45am, MNDF said that he was reported missing at around 10:31am.
MNDF said that he was found near an uninhabited island in the same atoll, Dhihkurendhoo, at around 12:06pm.
MNDF has since reported another incident, and are searching for Mohamed Shaavin from Miladhoo island of Noonu atoll, who also went missing while diving for sea cucumbers near Manadhoo island in the same atoll on Wednesday. Both incidents are not connected.
