Former Defense Minister claims that his house was raided by Police under the full awareness of President Yameen.
In a press conference held today، the former Defense Minister asserted that though President Yameen had expressed the raid was carried without his consent or awareness، such a claim does not hold any solid grounds.
“Defense Minister’s residence should not be regarded as a place people are not acquainted with or aware of” Nazim stated.
However Police said in defense that prior to the raid at Nazim’s residence، they were not informed the premises belonged to the former Defense Minister and he was subjected with full respect when authorities found out as such.
“While such an act is being carried out، it is hard to fathom that it will done with the nation’s President being in complete oblivion، President Yameen told me that this was done without his consent or awareness” Nazim added.
Former Minister also stated that since the case is still under investigation he does not wish to disclose any further details on the subject.
