H.E. Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Pandey، Ministerof Foreign Affairs of Nepal has met with H.E. Ms Dunya Maumoon، Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives this morning.
According to a statement on Foreign Ministry website، at the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs، H.E. Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Pandey commended Maldives for the leadership provided in its Chairmanship of SAARC and extended an invitation to Foreign Minister Dunya، to attend the SAARC Council of Ministers meeting scheduled to be held in Kathmandu in November this year.
Discussions between the Ministers focused on the need to revitalize SAARC and strengthen regional cooperation، as well as ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Secretary Dr Ali Naseer Mohamed، Ambassador at Large Dr Mohamed Asim، Permanent Secretary Hassan Shifau، Joint Secretary Farzana Zahir and Director Zenysha Shaheed Zaki.
H.E. Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Pandey is visiting the Maldives on a two day official visit.
