"Govt. goal is to create as many 'Ashfaag's possible": Minister Maleeh

Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal، Minister of Youth and Sports has said that the goal of the Government is to ‘create as many Ashfaag’s as possible in the field of Sports’.
Minister Maleeh said Government has a high consideration to establish sports infrastructures in Addu City، speaking during the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Shangri-La Resort & Spa and Ministry of Youth and Sports for the aid to be provided by the resort for Addu City Hithadhoo Sharfuddin School and Feydhoo School.

He said that due to the establishment of such infrastructures، without a doubt، many ‘Ashfaags’ will be created in the sports field، denoting the famous football player and captain of Maldives National Football Team Ali Ashfaag (Dhangadey).
Highlighting the aid of Shangri-La، Minister Maleeh said with the help of Shangri-La، the development of sports in Addu City will be boosted. The MoU states that Shangri-La will provide 180،000 Rufiyaa for the establishment of football academy in Feydhoo School، and also 120،000 Rufiyaa to “An’noor” Class specific for the children with special needs، in Hithadhoo Sharafuddin School.

In addition to Minister Maleeh Jamaal، Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shihaam، Principals of Sharfuddin School and Feydhoo School، and Addu City Mayor Abdulla Sodiq attended the MoU signing ceremony held at Shangri-La Resort & Spa in Addu City.
