Managing Director of STO has stated that his aim and hope is to make all employees of the company to be locals.
Shaheer made this remark at the ceremony held to sign the MOU of the Dhasvaaru program.
He said that the company has only a few foreigners and most its employees are from Maldives.
Shaheer said that STO is a company with many labourers and Maldivians do not apply much for such posts.
He said that the company is therefore compelled to user foreigners as labourers. However he said that STO will make a policy for other departments to only give jobs to Maldivians.
