Minister of Home Affairs Umar Naseer has been appointed the President of Local Government Authority (LGA) board.
Umar، who was also the member in the LGA board representing the cabinet، was appointed the President of LGA in board meeting held today. Today’s meeting is the third session of the authority this year.
Minister Umar was appointed with the favour of seven members presented in the meeting.
Previously the President of LGA was the former Defence Minister Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim. However، following his dismissal as the Defence Minister، he also lost his position as the President of LGA.
