Minister Dunya sends a message of condolence following the terrorist attack on a school in Peshawar

Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Ms. Dunya Maumoon has sent a message of condolence to the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on National Security and Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Sartaj Aziiz, following the terrorist attack on an army-run school in Peshawar, Pakistan.
Minister Dunya’s message reads as follows:
“It was with deep shock and profound sadness that I learnt of the inhumane and brutal terrorist attacks at a school in Peshawar, which has caused the loss of many innocent lives and injury to many others, most of whom are children.
The Government of Maldives condemns this act of terrorism in the strongest terms, and pledge our full support to the Government and the people of Pakistan. At this time of national tragedy, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in extending heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of Pakistan, and especially to the members of the bereaved families. May Allah give us all strength and fortitude during this time of heartache and grief”.
Also Ms Dunya Maumoon has condemned the hostage siege in Sydney, when an armed man took a number of people hostage at Lindt café in the Central Business District.
Minister Maumoon stated that the Government of Maldives condemns all acts of terror in the strongest terms. On behalf of the Government of Maldives and on her own behalf, Minister Maumoon extended her deepest sympathy to the victims of the hostage siege in Sydney and expressed solidarity with the Australian people and the Governmen
