President Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed two individuals for Deputy Minister designations.
Spokesperson of President’s Office Ibrahim Muaz Ali، stated today، the two Deputy Ministers appointed are Ahmed Saleem (Marz Saleem) for Home Ministry and Abdullah Mohamed (Madhanee Abdullah) for Economic Ministry.
“Marz” Saleem had been a formed PPM member following which he had signed up as a member of Jumhooree Party. He then proceeded to run for Parliament Member of North-Henveiru constituency، which he was greeted with failure.
With the recent bonding of JP with Nasheed’s MDP، Saleem had since resigned from membership of Jumhooree Party.
“Madhanee” Abdullah had filled the post of State Minister of Home Ministry during Mohamed Waheed’s tenure. However he was dismissed from designation with President Yameen coming to power.
Previously Abdullah Mohamed had run for Parliament Member of Nolhivaram constituency under the endorsement of Adhaalath Party، but he too، faced failure.
