President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated Maldives International Challenge 2022 Badminton Tournament.
Maldives International Challenge 2022 was inaugurated today morning at Malé Sports Complex. The competition is organized by the Badminton Association of the Maldives with endorsement from Badminton Asia and the Badminton World Federation. The tournament will be held at the Malé Sports Complex.
Badminton players from 25 countries will be participating in this tournament. It also features top-ranking players around the world.
Promoting the Maldives as a destination for international sporting events was a Presidential pledge. The main goal of this pledge is to allow Maldivian athletes to compete in international tournaments, while promoting the Maldives as a sports tourism destination. This is the seventh international competition Maldives is hosting this year.
