Prime Minister of India، Narendra Modi has assured to strengthen the ties between Maldives and India by ‘standing shoulder to shoulder’ while working together.
In response to tweets sent by Former President Mohamed Nasheed in regards to the crisis of complete disruption of water supply from MWSC، Narendra Modi has assured that as friends، both the nations will always be there to help each other.

While the Prime Minister has tweeted such statements in light of the crisis in Male’ City، two aircraft of Indian Military arrived to Male’ Airport on Friday afternoon، carrying humanitarian aid of water supplies.
The two aircraft of India brought 50 tonnes of water supplies on Friday. India has pledged to contribute 150 tonnes of water supplies.
MNDF and Police officials have started distributing the water supplies received from India.
