We have seen and heard you, says Home Minister

Minister of Home Affairs Umar Naseer has said that the government has seen and heard the voices of the protesters, following the march led by opposition parties in Malé this afternoon.
Umar Naseer made this remark on Twitter moments ago. This is a responsive & a responsible govt. We have seen & heard you.— Umar Naseer (@UmarNaseerPPM) February 27, 2015
JP Leader Gasim Ibrahim made several demands from the government during the protest.
Addressing protesters via the phone, Gasim said that the first demand was to ensure the rights and freedoms prescribed in the Constitution, and the second was to not restrict the basic rights and freedoms of the people, even in activities carried out according to the Constitution.
He also called for the immediate release of former Defence Minister Mohamed Nazim and former President Mohamed Nasheed, and to find an alternative method for dealing with the charges against them.
The country would not benefit from any legal proceedings against these two individuals, said Gasim.
Gasim, who is presently in Sri Lanka, addressed the crowd at the anti-government protest led by JP and Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) in Malé this afternoon, via the phone. JP said earlier today that Gasim had to travel abroad for important meetings.
