Indian business companies have said that they achieved their goals through the investment forum held by Maldives on 22nd of November in New Delhi.
Speaking to Miadhu News, some businessmen said that it is often hard to meet Maldivian business leaders even if they visit Maldives but through the investment forum they were able to meet various top businessmen of Maldives. They said that even though Maldives is small, Maldives has a lot of potential for Indian businesses and hence it is important to strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
Furthermore, they said that they want to see future forums like this and such forums can be organized in Maldives as well. They noted the importance of holding business forums once or twice annually.
“ Such forums can be held in Maldives as well. We are ready to go to Maldives and participate. Maldives is developing. Indian productivity is also increasing. We need to find ways to strengthen the trade relations.” Said the businessmen.
