Maldivian national team has moved up in FIFA world ranking. Maldives moved up by five positions. At the moment, the national football team is on 140th place. However Maldives is still second in SAARC region. India is leading in the SAARC region, despite falling behind one position this time. India is on the 130thposition.
Nepal secured the third place from the region and is on 173rd position. Following closely is Bhutan which is on the 177th position and the 4th position in the region. Bangladesh is still on the fifth place. Meanwhile Sri Lanka is on the 196th position and on the 7th position in the region. Pakistan is on the bottom in the region and is on 198th place which is among the lowest in the world as well.
Argentina is on the first position and Brazil is the second, while Germany is the third.
