President Muizzu Recognised with World Scout Badge; Top Scouts Awarded

The World Scout Badge has been awarded to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the Chief Scout of the Maldives. The honour was conferred upon him during a ceremony held at the President's Office on the occasion of National Scout Day.
At the ceremony, the President of the Scout Association of Maldives, Mohamed Nazeef, formally presented the World Scout Badge to President Dr Muizzu. The President, in turn, conferred the President’s Scout Award, the highest accolade in Maldivian Scouting, upon seven recipients. He also handed over letters of appointment to eight newly appointed members of the Scout Council.
The new members of the Scout Council are:
President: Mohamed Naseef
Vice President: Ahmed Haneef
National Treasurer: Ahmed Nasheed
Member: Abdulla Majid
Member: Ibrahim Asif Rasheed
Member: Mohamed Ibrahim
Member, and Chair of Scout Youth Council: Hussain Aahil Waheed
Chief Commissioner: Maeedh Mohamed Zahir
The President’s Scout Award was presented to the following individuals:
Ahmed Zaul: 11th Male’ Scout Group, Arabiyya School
Ahmed Basiq Mohamed: 1st Lhaviyani Atoll Scout Group, Naifaru Ifthithaah School
Abdulla Saroof Mohamed: 11th Male’ Scout Group, Arabiyya School
Aishath Layan Abdul Naseer: 11th Male’ Scout Group, Arabiyya School
Mohamed Adheem Adam: 11th Male’ Scout Group, Arabiyya School
Fathimath Anoosha: 11th Male’ Scout Group, Arabiyya School
Sara Binth Ameer Ibn Ali: 11th Male’ Scout Group, Arabiyya School
The Presidential Scout Badge is awarded to Scouts who have earned professional badges that teach skills in various fields. Scouts who receive the President's Award must also undertake projects that benefit the community.
President Muizzu was a member of the First Male’ Scout Group when he was a student at Majeedhiya School.
