President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has attended the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and the Council of Ministers.
The ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi earlier this evening.

Indian President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Prime Minister Modi during tonight's ceremony.
After the ceremony, President Muizzu participated in a photograph with the Indian Prime Minister and other senior officials of the State.

Besides President Muizzu, leaders of other countries in the region also participated in the event.
This includes Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Seychelles Vice President Ahmed Afeef, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.
