Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Mohamed Haanim of M. Fusthulhaage has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Environment and Energy.
As the Deputy Home Minister، Haanim was reportedly overseeing the the highest political responsibilities of Maldives Correctional Services under the Ministry of Home Affairs. His appointment was changed during a time of strengthening the security measures of Maldives Correctional Facilities after two inmates escaped the Maafushi Prison.
President’s Office reported that Haanim was appointed to Environment Ministry on Monday.
With the appointment of Haanim، Ministry of Environment and Energy has six Deputy Ministers.
Currently the Government has 74 Deputy Ministerial level appointments. Education Ministry holds the most appointments of 10 Deputy Ministers.
