Maldives Showcases Tourism Offers at Beijing International Tourism Expo 2025

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) is promoting the Maldives as a top travel destination for Chinese tourists at the Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) 2025, taking place from June 27 to June 29 at the China International Exhibition Centre (Chaoyang Venue).
Six tourism sector partners are joining MMPRC at the expo: Try Maldives Holidays, Plumeria, Sun Siyam Travels, ICOM Marina Sea View, Diamonds Thudufushi Beach & Water Villas, and Courtyard. Activities at the Maldives stand include photo opportunities, video showcases, and one-on-one meetings with travel experts.
MMPRC highlights that this participation aligns with its strategy to boost the Maldives’ appeal as a year-round long-haul travel destination for Chinese tourists. The corporation continues targeted marketing efforts in the Chinese market through digital promotions, media familiarization trips, and collaborations with major tour operators.
As of June 11, the Maldives has welcomed 122,088 Chinese tourists, making China the top source market for tourist arrivals in 2025. In 2024, the Maldives received 263,340 Chinese tourists.
