Kulhudhuffushi-South MP Mohamed Nasheed has been elected chair and Makunudhoo MP Anaara Naeem has been elected deputy chair of the select committee assembled to review the parliament’s standing orders for the 18th parliament.
Chair and deputy chair were elected unanimously at the select committee’s first meeting on Monday. The committee concluded the meeting after adopting committee regulations.
The select committee to review parliament’s standing orders is comprised of Kulhudhuffushi-South MP Mohamed Nasheed, Kudahuvadhoo MP Ahmed Amir, Makunudhoo MP Anaara Naeem, Mathiveri MP Hussein Mohamed, and Machangoalhi-South MP Mariya Ahmed Didi.
