President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has thanked Estonian President Dr Alar Karis and the government of Estonia for their warm hospitality during his official visit.
In a post on X, President Muizzu thanked President Karis and his government for the invitation and the heartfelt welcome extended to him since his arrival.
"It is indeed an honor to be here," he wrote.
The visit marks the first time a Maldivian President has traveled to Estonia and is also President Muizzu's first official visit to a European country.

During the trip, President Muizzu engaged in discussions to strengthen bilateral relations between the Maldives and Estonia.
"Our shared vision and priorities on digital governance, cyber resilience, climate change, and education, among other areas, will guide our collective efforts towards mutual progress in the years to come," he said.
According to President Karis, solidarity and unity between small states like the Maldives and Estonia is crucial, not only for our security and sovereignty but also for global peace and sustainable development.
