Bangladeshi expat fisherman lost at sea Friday morning while attempting to recover anchor was found dead.
The man jumped into the ocean to recover the anchor from a boat anchored near Gulhi Falhu, Kaafu Atoll. After his disappearance was reported to Maldives Police Service, Coast Guard divers were dispatched in the Male' area for search and rescue efforts.
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) revealed that his dead body was found at a depth of 21 metres. MNDF further stated that his body will be transported to Male'.
