Home Minister Umar Naseer has stated that the special swimming event held between Male and Villimale’ to celebrate 50 years of independence in Maldives will be participated by Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel and the Home Minister himself.
The Media Coordinator of Home Ministry Thazmeel Abdul Samad، stated that some of the elite members of the government will participate in the event to be held on Friday.
“Vice President and Home Minister will participate in the swimming and some of the elite officials of government will participate in the event. The President Yameen will visit to watch the event.”
Whilst the event will be ongoing on Friday، Police، MNDF، Coast Guard and Swimming Association will be scrutinizing the area.
The event has been open for public participation.
