A Facebook page dedicated for promoting opposition party MDP’s ideology and belief had been hacked and its curator has been kidnapped according to former President Mohamed Nasheed.
On a tweet he posted lastnight، he stated the Facebook page “Ranreendhoo Maldives” curator had been kidnapped and the page was hacked، adding that the people responsible for this must be apprehended.

However، a Police media official confirmed that such a case had not been reported to their department so far today.
One of the most recent posts on the above mentioned page had alleged Foreign Minister during MDP regime، Ahmed Naseem (Kerafaa) and a social media activist was behind the disappearance of Minivan news reporter Ahmed Rizwan Abdhulla.
Apart from this، the page had a post stressing that Rizwan’s disappearance was due to leaking “high profile” confidential documents related to Mohamed Nasheed (Anni).
Furthermore، among one of the recent posts from the page، it is stated the page administrator was funded by Nasheed to spread haux news about President Yameen and Tourism Minister Ahmed Adheeb. The post also abuses Mohamed Nasheed with a derogartory remark.
A similar case occured previously this year، when unknown assailants had “hijacked” a Facebook page and had its administrators kidnapped and threatened، aftewards the page was deleted.
