Minister of Defence and National Security Colonel (retired) Mohamed Nazim has stated that the current government will develop the health sector and bring progress to it.
Minister Mohamed Nazim made this remark during a ceremony held at the Nasandhura Palace Hotel to hand over the STO’s donation of 1500 bio-medical equipment to Ministry of Health.
Minister Nazim stated that many of the health service providers are in a poor state considering the lack of equipment. He said that the donation from STO will bring a big relief to this position. He said that the equipment donated will make the health service providers perfect.
Minister Nazim said that the most important decision taken by the government under the direct supervision of the President himself is the decision to find biomedical equipment via STO and also the decision to open an Aasandha health scheme provided pharmacy in each inhabited island.
Minister Nazim expressed gratitude to STO for the company’s efforts and services to the health sector of Maldives.
