Former President and MDP leader Mohamed Nasheed will travel to Lanka sometime today to visit the new appointed Prime Minister Ranil Wickeremesinghe.
Nasheed will meet with journalists to brief about his trip to Lanka before his flight، scheduled for today afternoon.
According to a statement released from the former President’s Office، Nasheed will hold meetings with Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister and government running United National Party’s leader Ranil Wickeremesinghe.
Nasheed is visiting Lanka following Maithripala Sirisena’s victory over recent president Mahindha Rajapaksa in the Presidential elections held on the 8th of this month.
Post elections، Nasheed contacted Wickeremesinghe personally to congratulate Sirisena’s victory.
