Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) revealed on Friday that a Bangladeshi expat worker was lost at sea while attempting to recover an anchor near Gulhi Falhu, Kaafu Atoll.
MNDF further said that Coast Guard divers are now active in the Male' area to rescue him.
According to Maldives Police Service, the boat reported his disappearance at 0852 hours.
However, further details are yet to be disclosed about the incident.
