Parliament’s Committee of National Security have passed to call Home Minister Umar Naseer and Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed to inquire details of the investigation on the case of missing reporter of Minivan News، Rilwan Abdulla.
Nine members of the Committee voted in favour. However، a specific date to call Home Minister and CP has not been tabled.
Family of Rilwan have offered 200،000 Rufiyaa for anyone who would give any information regarding the missing reporter from Minivan News، Rilwan Abdulla.
Famous in social media as “Moyameeha”، Rilwan has been missing since 7th of August، after he entered to Hulhumale’ Ferry Terminal in Male’. A CCTV footage of Rilwan entering in to the terminal after purchasing the ticket is now all over the news and social media. However، Police cannot confirm if Rilwan reached to Hulhumale’.
Police reported that they have searched and checked a major part of Hulhumale’ for Rilwan، and also checked many CCTV footage as well. MNDF is also currently searching the waters around Hulhumale’ for Rilwan.
