Representatives of the Jumhooree Party and Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has met with the Home Minister Umar Naseer.
Following the meeting, Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim told the media that they have raised the concerns of the people regarding the worrying issues in the nation to the Home Minister.
“I have underscored the importance of reconciliation and to resolve these issues to establish stability. We have not yet got an appointment for the President. We have requested the Home Minister to share our concerns with the President,” he said.
MDP Chairperson, Ali Waheed said that they have discussed all issues they wanted to discuss with the Home Minister. He said that he hopes that they will get a good response from the government regarding those issues.
Ali Waheed said that he believes that the government will give importance to end the problems and bring peace and stability to the country.
The MDP Chairperson said that the protests will still continue as usual until the government removes the reasons for holding those protests.
