Secretary General Ahmed Sameer has said that it was the Gender Minister who is giving legal counsel to the President regarding the brutal murder of a three year old child.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Sameer said that it will not be easy and appropriate for the Attorney General Mohamed Anil to give legal counsel to the President regarding the matter while also being the Gender Minister.
Sameer said that Anil is a capable person for the post but since he is also the Gender Minister then the people will question his counsel.
He said that he mentioned this a few days back to the media because of the problems that arise in these matters. He said that he is not saying this to criticize the government but that it is the reality of affairs.
Sameer said that the Jumhooree Party appeals the government to correct their affairs and govern and rule in accordance to the constitution and law.
