Foreign Minister Zameer travels to Qatar on an official trip

Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer has travelled to Qatar on Saturday night on an official trip.
This is the Minister's first official trip to Qatar after the administration of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu came into office.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that during this trip, which is scheduled to last till Monday, Zameer will be holding high level deliberations with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
The Minister will also meet with other senior officials of Qatar and explore ways of further strengthening ties between Qatar and Maldives.

2024 marks 40 years since diplomatic ties were established between Qatar and Maldives.
Secretary, Bilateral, Dr Hala Hameed, Ambassador at Large and Maldives Ambassador to China Dr Fazeel Najeeb and Foreign Ministry's Assistant Director Lamha Saleem are accompanying the Minister on this trip.
