Home Minister Umar Naseer affirms meeting scheduled with MDP and JP is will not be a negotiation rendezvous with the opposition.
Umar made the news official via Twitter following rumours of MDP and JP planning to sit down with Home Minister for discussions. However، Home Minister had assured the meeting will not have any negotiations on its agenda.

Meanwhile MDP-JP’s inter-party commission has concluded to proceed ahead with the scheduled events tied to former President and MDP leader Mohamed Nasheed’s arrest.
MDP Chairperson Ali Waheed made a statement recently that MDP will move forth with planned strategies to free their captive leader Mohamed Nasheed، but the strategies are currently under discussion between both MDP and JP.
“For our party currently the main priority is President Nasheed only” Ali Waheed stated.
