An elderly man missing from southernmost Addu City, has been found dead.
80-year-old Abdulla Manikufaanu's body was found in the sea, according to police.
Police said that they received a missing person report at around 12:43am on Monday, and that his body was found in the sea at around 8:05am on Tuesday.
The deceased's body was immediately taken to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.
RaajjeMV understands that the elderly man had been missing since around 5:30am on Monday and that he was found near the area where he is known to go swimming.
Abdulla Manikufaanu is the same man who went missing in Trivandrum, India last September. He was found a day later.
