The work on the building extension at HA. Atoll Hospital, intended to provide CT scan, mammography, and X-ray services, was officially awarded today. The agreement was signed on behalf of the government by the State Minister of the Ministry of Health, Ahmed Qasim. The company awarded the work, Perfect Malafahi Maldives Private Limited, was represented by its Marketing Manager, Mohamed Imad. The ceremony for the signing of this agreement was also attended by the Member of Parliament for the Dhihdhoo constituency, Abdul Latheef Mohamed (Latheebey). The total cost of this project is 4.9 million Rufiyaa. The duration allocated for the completion of this work is 06 months. The important sections to be included in this extension building are a CT room, an X-ray room, an ultrasound scan room, and a speech therapy room. With the establishment of these services, the residents of HA. Atoll will be able to receive certain services at the Atoll Hospital that previously required them to travel to Malé or other hospitals. This will ease the burden on the residents and help reduce healthcare costs. The foundation stone for the new five-story building of HA. Atoll Hospital was also laid on the 22nd of this month.
