The Sh. Narudhoo Island Council has today opened the opportunity to apply for state-owned residential land plots following a decision to release new housing plots from the island.
According to the Narudhoo Council, 25 land plots, each measuring 2,500 square feet, are scheduled to be released this time. These plots will be allocated from areas specifically designated for residential use in the island’s Land Use Plan.
The issuance and acceptance of application forms will take place from January 11, 2026, to January 29, 2026.
Forms can be submitted at the Narudhoo Council Secretariat counter between 09:30 AM and 01:30 PM on all non-public holidays. Application forms will also be available for collection from the Secretariat.
Alongside the announcement, the Council has published the land allocation policy, maps identifying the designated areas, and relevant legal documents, including housing relinquishment agreements and inheritance declarations.
The Council encourages all eligible parties to submit their applications in accordance with these established policies.
