Former President Mohamed Nasheed has said today that MDP needs to take the lead and make trips to Gaza.
Nasheed said on twitter that the current administration has shown indifference towards Gaza، and that it’s up to MDP to take the lead.

Nasheed tweeted that there is no reason to not send an MNDF brigade to Gaza’s defense looking back at 1943، when 12 Maldivians travelled to Ceylon for a similar cause. He added that MDP is ready for such an act.

MDP recently held a rally in support of Palestinians suffering from Israel’s offensive.
With a week gone since Israel started the air raids on Gaza، the death toll has reached 264، with over 2000 injured.
