Former Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shafeeu has been assigned as the State Minister of Ministry of Education.
Ahmed Shafeeu who had been a minister during Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan’s tenure as President. He had been the Director General of Education Ministry for years.
He had also filled the designation of Island Aviation’s Chairman under President Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s regime. He was assigned the post on January last year.
Ahmed Shafeeu was previously a member of Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) but has since revoked his membership from the party and had signed as a member of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).
