Amidst the difficulties being faced by the residents to collect water، following the crisis of complete disruption of water services in Male’ due to the fire at MWSC، the Government has claimed that signs are seen for the crisis being solved.
Minister of Economic Developments Mohamed Saeed has said، in a press conference held at President’s Office on Tuesday afternoon، that the Government has gathered all the stakeholders to work together due to the crisis، and “green signals are flashing” for the crisis being resolved.
He has informed that water service will be temporarily resumed for three hours a day، after highlighting that the Government immediately put the highest consideration to solve the water crisis as 150،000 people living in Male’ are facing difficulties to get water.
“A lot has been accomplished، according to the information shared by the Task Force. What we are facing is a huge problem. But، the work has started to solve the matter under the instruction of the President.” Minister Saeed said.
Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed further expressed his gratitude to the friendly nations for extending their support and aid to Maldives amidst the crisis.
