Task force is doing everything to relieve the country from the crisis- Minister Nazim

Minister of Defence and National Security (Colonel) Mohamed Nazim has said that the task force is doing everything they can to relieve the country from the water crisis.
Answering a question asked by Miadhu Daily, Minister Nazim said that the water crisis faced by the people living in Make’ due to the fire that broke out in the MWSC is regarded as a national emergency.
Minister Nazim said that a task force has to be made when a national emergency is declared therefore the President made the task force to tackle the issue.
“Our responsibility is to do everything we can to relieve the people from this crisis. This task force is comprised of the top leading ministers in the cabinet,” he said.
The Minister said that the task force is not working as a company but the task force with the cooperation extended by the company is working to resolve the crisis. “Our aim is to resolve the issue and resume water supply as before. The task force will be dissolved once this is achieved,” he said.
Meanwhile, the International Federation of Red Cross and the Red Crescent stated that half of the population is under crisis and it an emergency situation.
