"Govt. is neglecting the cases of street violence": Prez. Nasheed

Former President and the leader of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has alleged that President Yameen’s Government is covering the truth and neglecting the recent cases of street violence.
In a tweet he sent on Sunday، President Nasheed has said that 7 people have died due to stabbing and over 20 cases of stabbing and street violence were reported this year.
However، President Yameen’s Government has neglected the cases without investigating، Nasheed alleged.

While the cases of stabbing and street violence are being reported through out Male’ and the country، a 28-year-old was stabbed and killed during early hours of Sunday morning.
Ahmed Mafaz، 28، of Addu City Feydhoo passed away during treatment after being stabbed near Allora Furniture shop، around 01:45 on Sunday early morning.
An eye witness told Vaguthu that Mafaz was sitting near Allora when he was attacked، while simultaneously a group of people armed with knives and sharp objects were near Mas’odige creating a hassle. The group reportedly damaged the door of Mas’odige and few chairs near the entrance.
